Have registered and used Cameraware successfully in the past on my previous phone. ( MDA Vario)

Have now loaded it on to my new Vario III ( same mobile number, same network), but try as I might I can't get the camera database to respond...

Serial number and activation number were accepted OK. Built in GPS works a dream...

On 'Options' menu, Register is greyed out ( so I presume I'm still registered as a paying customer??), but on settings menu, 'Check for update' is also greyed out.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, reloading the software several times, but still no luck after several days.

HELP!! my licence needs this software!!

If they're greyed out, you're not registered, but you're connected. You can only complete registration when disconnected from GPS.

So...

Start CamerAware -> DON'T CONNECT TO GPS -> Ensure credentials are in registration dialogue (case sensitive) -> Do Settings / Check for Update -> OK app version prompt -> select yes to download DB.

When registered, the register button disappears altogether biggrin.gif

Hi Paul,

Yes it does.

The key and registration data is correct in the licence area, I then save it, get a message confirming that the details are saved but still no sign of the camera database and the registration option is still available?

Select 'Product Update' to validate the key and get the DB.
