I have read a load of messages about this problem, searched for hours, but not one of them has a solution at the end. Is there one?
Recently got another MPX 200 but when i try to make an outgoing call using the headset, i cant hear anything. The MP3 player, keytones, etc work fine, and it even works fine on IN-GOING calls with the headset on. I have two, original, perfect condition motorola headsets and have the same prob using either of them. I tried 'master reset', once completed i tried using headset immediately.... IT WORKED. But then on my second call , no sound again, and since then has never worked again. Tried to reset again, but alwasy no sound thru headset. Like I say, I have read literally 10 or more reports of this porb on this site, but cannot find a solution. Surely someone must know! I have a MPX 200, running on Windows 2003, unlocked from orange. Thanks in advance for your help, Nick |

Just an idea, you're using the mic button to answer in-coming calls, but, at a guess using the phone green button for outgoing, I wonder if that changes the mode from headset to normal.
Something you could look at, but it's not likely to be the same problem with two sets of headphones, pop the mic/answer button holder apart, could be a dodgy connection. -------------------- I'm not a silver surfer, I'm a shiny pink one !

I have used the headsets on other MPXs and never had any trouble at all.
In a few of the many posts from others about this same problem, they claimed they made an outgoing call using their headset (no sound thru headset) they opened the media player while on the call then they could hear properly. I tried, it works!!! but it is a pain to do every time I want to make a call. Very bizarre. There must a be a simple solution to this. Any ideas? |

could be a software problem, have u tried to reinstall WM2003 on the phone?? see if that will fix it. or maybe downgrade to WM2002.

Thanks in advance for your help, Nick For me if the headset is not in before I start the call or receive the call, I just hit any key and it automatically changes over to the headset or if you use the right function key at the top right above the hang up key, it gives you a menu I belive to change over to the headset. That is what has worked for me. I use a plantronics headset. -------------------- FIREY JACK
