 Problem With Entering GPRS Settings, WTF?

When I try to enter my IP address for my GRPS Carrier, It won't let me enter the .'s in my ip address.. Am I overlooking anything?

u need to press and hold the star key till it goes to the letters entering. then u can press the 1 key and get a . on that topic, does anyone know how to get the _ symbol on the phone???
