Hey, from Tmobile retail and we've been advised that the 8gb version will be arriving in stores sometime within the next week or so as the planograms will be updated for it to include it on the shelf and we've got all the prices available for it aswell, so hold on in there biggrin.gif

A little off topic but I am overdue an upgrade with T-Mobile but I want the Touch Pro and like you want to stay with T-Mobile because of W&W. When I rang last night to ask about the release date to the Touch Pro, to my great disappointment I was told there were no plans for it to be released this year. After being transferred to retentions the chap there, who came across as knowledgeable ran through a list of soon to be released handsets way into November and the Omnia was indeed one of them but no Touch Pro. Does anyone have any info on a T-Mobile release for the TP?

Think you may have got dud advice about the Touch Pro (Vario IV), unless they've had problems testing it. I was told some time in September, early October at the latest and that was a couple of weeks ago.

Dud info i hope as about a month ago I was told September and that felt like to long to wait but as I say last night they said there were no plans this year and the guy has just rung me back to say that is indeed the case but he will be in again on Saturday and will if there is more info, give me a ring then. I will listen to what he has to say then and if it’s not good I will just ring them again and hope to speak to someone different.

Hi, I am interested in the Omnia with T-Mobile as well as they said they could try to match other networks' deals for me when it comes out. Only doubts I have about T-Mobile is that sometimes the cell coverage is spotty, but it my home even O2 isn't full-signal all the time :-/

Anyway, my question is will T-Mobile's Omnias be locked or branded or both?

Just got off the phone to upgrades, and they are calling me back as the woman who dealt with me said they were due for release this week.

Apparently I have been added to her long list. Im not holding my breath on a call back as this has never ever happened, but its good to know its out this week.

I am in a right old dialema. Do I get the Omnia or do I get the Touch Pro. I really cant decide!

Cheers

Phill

Hi everyone this is my first post.

I just rang T mobile today as I heard about them getting the omnia this week. They started selling them yesterday but they are not on the website yet. I'm on Flext 30 + Web an walk (1Gb fair usage/month) for £35/month. I had to pay £50 for the phone because it was an upgrade but new customers may get it free. The phone has been sent next day delivery, so should have it tomorrow.

Just got my renewal deal. The phone has gone out of stock but they will send it me as soon as it comes back in. They have given it to me on Combi 30(18month) and thrown in free WW for the first 6 months. I get 700mins and 400 texts per month. The handset cost me £30.

Hope it comes back in stock soon. Cant wait!

Im on Relax 35 + WnW, i was told it would be £50 to upgrade. You can get the phone free on Vodafone with a £35 a month contract, told them i would go there, if they can't do the phone for free..... T Mobile can't/won't match it, so gave my months notice.

I would rather stay with T Mobile, so now my contract runs out in a month, are T Mobile likely to come back to me and ask me to stay? Or should i just go straight to Voda now?

They should at least match the offer they gave me. See above. I think sometimes it depends who you speak to. I got Combi 30. Usually 700mins + unlimited texts but I traded the unlimited texts for 400 texts and free WW for the first 6 months. The handset is costing me £30. I really pushed so dont think they would have gone much futher.

Thanks for the reply Fursie, i was hoping they would match the offer. My contract is £43 a month with T Mobile, i can go to Vodafone for the same price, the only difference is, i will get 100 less texts, but as i phone rather than text, i dont see that as a problem. The only problem is, the other half is on T Mobile also and her contract isnt minutes to anyone, just T Mobile and land lines, so for that reason, i want to stay with T Mobile.

Maybe if i ring them back and ask them about when i can get my pac, they might be more willing to match the deal, doubtful as i have already got an end of contract date, but we will see. biggrin.gif

Does the T-Mo rom have the Samsung Fun Club app or the Samsung Lifediary app?

I ordered the phone from T-Mobile on Thursday, extending my Flext 35 contract by 18 months. I'd threatened to go to Orange (they do 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet [I lied], for £23 a month after a redemption offer on various sites), so I got to keep my 25% discount on the contract, I got WnW thrown in free AND I got the phone for free. The Flext 35 allowance is now £200 rather than the £180 I had before, all for £26 per month.

So you can get it for free, don't give up on them!

Cool, due an upgrade on Orange in the next month or two and I fancy an Omnia but the last phone was awful with Orange Branding so unbranded is good for me,
I have an iPhone but I fancy a Window Mobile device as I feel it would be a bit more "open".
