Can anyone tell me if you can run tomtom on the SPV e610? Is it classed as a smartphone or PDA?

The e610 is classed as a Smartphone as such, MS now class all phones or PDA phones as Smartphones now.
With the new classes you have a Smartphone with keyboard running WM standard.

As for TomTom, they stopped producing for the non touchsceen Smartphone with version 5 unfortunately this version was not made for the newer landscape devices as such, but some people have had it working with version 5.2 and 5.21 updates aparently.
As TomTom stopped selling version 5 a long time ago it may be hard to find a store that still sells it. May be worth sending them an email otherwise try a different sat nav app.
