I've had a sticker protector on the screen of my BJII for months since the day I got the phone...I just peeled it off hoping the dust would come off with it, but it's still under the screen. Any way of getting the dust out? Is it easy to take the phone apart and clean it?

I wouldn't want to try and take apart my phone, but that's just me. I'm curious though, do you carry your phone in your pocket frequently?? Just wondering why and how dust get's in there...

Yeah... he most probably carries it in his pocket. I do and my screen also has dust behind the glass. Has anyone taken the phone apart yet? huh.gif

Yep in the pocket allll the time... Maybe compressed air or a vaccum would do something? I dont know.. it looks like it got in through the opening right above the scroll wheel.

Hey I found this for the Blackjack I, might help as I'm sure the disassembly process would be similar:

Again, this is probably not something that I would try, I could F-up an anvil...

I really doubt the compressed air will work--it has to get under the screen and then manage to blow the dust OUT. If anything it will only redistribute the dust.

I just took mine to a local ATT shop and they happily gave me a new phone, on the spot. But that would require you to still have an active waranty... Other than that, there have been a few people on this forum that have opened their BJII up--maybe pester them and get them to do a full write up/video?

Theres definitely people on there that have opened them up.. it doesn't look too difficult.. cracking the case halves apart would be the hardest part IMO.

The compressed air HELPED me.. i guess it redistributed it or blew it behind the screen, but SOME of the dust is gone now. It definitely helped.
