Can anyone help me - I am trying to get hold of an SPV M1000 (Himalaya) however I have had a couple of days run around from Orange.
Orange Developer Forum have passed me to business customer service
who have passed me on to direct sales
who have passed me on to carphone warehouse
back to Orange customer service who have said if the business depends on it get an XDA2

Looks like that's the only option available at the moment. Has anyone else been able to get one?

I would phone orange disconnections... doubt they would let a business customer slip away by refusing to give them a business handset!

I got mine from my Orange Account Manager but you only get an account manager if you have over a certain number of handsets (I think its 50) and/or if your call spend is at a certain level.

If you have a business account you can ask to speak to an account manager via 158 and see if you get anywhere.

Eventually resorted to getting an i-mate, after which Orange have now released the SPV M1000 to small business customers.

Very happy with the i-mate but somewhat bruised by the Orange experience.

Thanks all for your comments.

The Orange branded XDA II has now been released to personal customers but look around as the price will be far better if you leave and return to Orange as a new customer, especially with the double minutes deal they are doing at the mo.
