 rom update problems

i was installing the latest rom update via infrared when suddenly there was a problem so the imate (xda2) is not useable now what can i do please help

installing via infrared? dosnt seem the most reliable idea ever... i think you will have to contact o2, or better yet take it to an o2 store and ask for replacement

When I spoke to O2 about the ROM upgrade, before I had done it, the tech guy recomended that unless I have had any problems with my XDA II not to do the upgrade seeing as they have had many reported problems which render your device useless. If yours is "dead" you'll have to contact O2 for a replacement. The problem is, apparently, due to the Windows OS the person is using for the download, with Win2000 and NT being the badies. I went forward (cos I always need the newest version) and did the upgrade with no problems. Thank the Lord!
