Device(s): Orange SPV M2000

Yesterday was the first time I really used the video recording feature of the camera on my Orange SPV M2000 and I discovered 2 rather odd things.

Firstly - the Orange version of the Blue Angel comes bundled with a software called "pvPlayer", and this is the "default" Mp4 viewing software. BUT pvPlayer won't play anything with a resolution greater than 144x192 (or therabouts). The camera however will record at 320x240 - so you CAN'T watch your films just after you've taken them. Furthermore - COULD windows media player 9 be LESS intuitive??? you simply CAN'T open a video file in it easily! :x

Secondly - once I'd transferred the films off the phone into my laptop - I discovered that there was no sound at all. (I may have the settings on the phone wrong - not sure yet), but this does seem rather odd.

Can anyone give me any advice on this?? Would it be worth downloading a better video viewer and if so what's the best one?

About pv Player i know it does not work so well , i go to Multimedia Album and play the file from there but my SPV C500 records at 176x144 maximum size ,in .mp4 format it records with .amr sound format and it is played well by pv Player (my tip is try recording in .avi format if it is available 4 your phone ,in my opinion it is better than .mp4). On the PC WMP 10 plays those files. The missing of sound may b from the settings or from lack of sound ,remember not to cover the mic while recording. If u r talking about WMP 9 for smartphone it auttomaticly detects files it handles and puts them in playlist. Hope it may help ! wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

I have tried .avi (Motion Jpeg avi) and in my opinion the quality is better with this format though is bigger in size . biggrin.gif
