QUOTE
Subject: MOBILE PHONE SCAM - PLEASE READ!!! -

If you receive a phone call and your Mobile phone displays (ACE) on the screen don't answer the call. END THE CALL

IMMEDIATELY. If you answer the call, your phone will be infected by a virus. This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the telephone network. You will have to buy a new phone. This information has been confirmed by Sagem, Motorola and Nokia. There are over 3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus all around the world. You can also find this information on the CNN web site.

I recently received this warning via email.

Does anyone know if there is any truth to it. And if there is are our PPCs and smartphones at risk also?

I couldnt find it on CNN but then again that could just be me wink.gif

How the hell could this get through to your phonevia a phone call anyway?? Maybe the real scam is the email?!?

Cheers

Brett

Device(s): How do I make a call?

People, use Google! It is, and has been for many many years, a hoax. Read here at Symantec (Norton) - then delete it as it's only a chain letter.... (sigh)

ACE Email Hoax

I guess that someone didn't like a bloke called Ace?
