I have a bluetooth car kit Pama Prowave BT-900. The kit works fine with Nokia E65, worked with my SPV C550. However it does not connect properly with my HTC diamond or with the SPV E650.

It basically shows as if it’s connected but when it rings, it does not use the car kit instead you have to talk through the phone.

It’s getting very annoying and wondered if anyone had the same problem or if any one has a solution I could try as it’s driving me mad!

Many thanks

I am also having trouble with my Kenwood DNX5220BT as it connects to the phone but looses it's connection and will not allow me to make calls.
I have updated the firmware on the phone to the latest one from HTC but still no joy.
My iPhone works fine and stays connected all the time.

I haven't had any problems with my factory fitted Citroen C4 bluetooth car kit. Both incoming and outgoing calls work fine.

I had the same problem, I had to uninstall my jetblue HF extension, and add a registry key OutgoingCallOption = 2 (DWORD)
at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway, and soft reset.

Not sure if regkey really did the trick.

Thanks, I will give this a try but could you tell me how to do this in simple terms as I am a simple person and dont want to risk me messing my HTC diamond up by mistake!

Many thanks

Well Uhh, you need PHM regedit for the pocket pc, If you are not familiar with changing registry keys, this could feel a little tricky.
You can always delete the key again, and then it is back to what it was.

In case you have Jetblue installed, it is easy, just uninstall it and reboot your phone, that is a problem for sure.
Maybe you have someone in the neighbourhood that is familiar with regedit for WIndows, then he can help you out as well ..

I think part of the problem is that it hasn't even asked me for a passcode and therefore it hasn't paired up with the bluetooth car kit properly (Even though it says it is paired).

Is there a way of forcing the phone to input this code?

Don't forget that the Omnia has 'Smart Pairing' so if the code is 0000 then it will auto try that PIN code witout prompting you .. (you can alsao add one other default code, I also have 1234). This means it may actually have paired if it shows in the device list
