I know disabling the 'security tool' allows you to download unsigned software but how does this differ from an 'unlock' where you can use non-Orange SIMs etc........or is there no difference. V. Interested.

This tool allows you to install unsigned third party software. By default i think the diamond allows unsigned apps anyway. Sim unlock is somthing completley different again.
