Asus have announced two new WinMo Professional devices this week at CeBIT. First up the M536 is the successor to this months WinMo Week sponsored device, the M530W. Interestingly switching away from WinMo Standard running on it's predecessor, the M536 is equipped with a QWERTY keypad again and a 320x320 flush touchscreen!
Specs are rumoured to be:
  • Windows Mobile 6.1
  • 2.4" 320x320 touch screen
  • Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA (3.6Mbps)
  • Wifi/BT/GPS(!)
  • 256/128MB ROM/RAM
  • Fingerprint reader(!)
  • Touch sensitive hardware buttons
Initial impression of the M530W keypad seem to be promising so hopefully this will carry through to the M536 and it's great to see GPS and a nice twist with the fingerprint reader!

Next up is the ZX1 Lamborghini WinMo Professional device. This is going to be one of the first luxury WinMo devices touted by Asus and should have the following on board:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA (3.6Mbps)
  • 115.6 x 59.4 x 13.2mm
  • 2.8" qVGA screen
  • 450MHz CPU
  • 256/128MB ROM/RAM
  • Wifi/BT/GPS
  • 3Mpix camera
It's certainly a pretty looking device, but the spec isn't exactly ground breaking!
