Hi there!
Sometimes I got the problem that the PPC Profiles are not visible. There is just a blank space instead of the buttons. If I check off the plugin, return to today and re-check its visible. As I said, its only sometimes...has anyone got an idea??? Thanx Dirk |

I have this problem too, about half the time I soft reset the phone it starts up without the profile buttons appearing on the today screen. Until now, I just kept resetting the phone until it loaded up properly - didn't realise that you could get the buttons back by going into the today screen settings.
This is happening on my Wizard, btw. |

Just to update on this problem, I've recently updated my wizard with the latest Imate ROM and installed the latest version of PPCProfiles Pro, and now this problem is occuring every single time I start up or soft reset the phone.
The today screen plugin never comes up and I have to uncheck and then check it in the today screen options to get it to appear. Is there any way of solving this? |

Hi
I was getting the same problem as you but after putting ppcprofiles in the tray instead of having a screen plugin it seems to work fine (and looks better IMO) -------------------- |

Click on the 'P' icon in the plugin
Click on 'advanced>setup>selection options In the selection mode drop down box select 'tray select' Also tick 'Popup one click select' to make things simpler Now just make sure you click on the green arrow in the bottom of the window NOT the top right ok button Looks much better than a separate today screen plugin and works perfectly -------------------- |

I have a new i-mate k-jam and i would love to use this software with it. however! not only did i not see the plugin (which i take to be the little P at the bottom of the screen), but i also didn't get those little buttons at the top (that you can change the skin for - sorry, i haven't got all the terms down yet!) AND i didn't have any "Advanced" settings option. what have i done wrong? To open the program, I had to go into the programs folder on my storage card and press on a file and hope it did something - there was no icon in the programs folder. eventually i got a little menu that i could select one of the five profiles from, or a basic setup to change the settings for each profile, but that was it. Should I have installed this to the phone instead of to my storage card? How come nothing shows up on the today screen? (i don't have the latest ROM - the phone is too new I'm a little scared to do that right off the bat and so far everything else works!) [Have since uninstalled and reinstalled on the phone (as opposed to storage card) and everything's working a treat!] This post has been edited by mgl: Jun 8 2006, 13:09 |

Glad you got it sorted!
Some software doesn't like being on the storage card due to it not starting up as fast as the phone. Keep browsing around and you'll soon learn loads! -------------------- |

Hi I was getting the same problem as you but after putting ppcprofiles in the tray instead of having a screen plugin it seems to work fine (and looks better IMO) I've now tried using the PPC Profiles Pro from the system tray for a few weeks, I much prefer the home screen plugin with text buttons. Does anyone have a solution for the problem with this though. The homescreen plugin is never visible after a soft reset. |

Could be how many plugins you have on your todayscreen or a conflict with another. -------------------- Cheers

After three soft resets, I finally got the buttons to appear.
The first two resets left me with a device that opened ActiveSynce and locked the device so that the only thing I could do is reset. Is any more development being done on this program? It looks like most of these posts are quite old. |
