In the Development-Forum of XDA-Developers I just wrote:

AppToDate ends with an exception when downloading G-Alarm (Update V0.64 --> V0.71):

IOException
at System.IO._Error.WinIOErr()
at System.IO.File.Delete()
at MoDaCo...

After closing the error message window, the next window shows the message:
Downloading 1 update
G-Alarm (1) - 100400% complete
Total - 0% complete

Is it a bug in the XML-file?
Should I forward the incident message to MoDaCo?

I'm using MDA Vario III + WM 6.0

Thank you very much for making your program available

and got the answer:

Yes, please forward to MoDaCo
I really don't know what I do wrong... The cab seems to be fine:
http://www.ageye.de/apptodate/galarm.xml
So I assume that there is an error of AppToDate...

Ok, that's it. Do yo have any solution for this problem?

it works now - my download script didn't return the filesize of the cab files which made AppToDate go crazy. (Just in case any other developer uses similar systems and experiences problems)
