 initialising code, HELP?

I have recently bought a i300 off of ebay and the code 1234 does not work the seller claims he never changed the code and my hdd isnt working now i am trying a hard reset but cant figure out the code does anyone have a different code or a way to find out what it is?

check the userguide that came with the phone if you got it, it should be in there.
