I'd like to know if anybody tried dismantling their SGH-i300?
My i300's 3gb microdrive conked out lately, and I think it's still draining precious battery life even when not in use... It might be possible (might be) if we could open up the unit and try removing the HDD, and just use the expansion slot for storage... as it will (I pressume) lengthen the battery life... Any input will be highly appreciated... thanks! This post has been edited by icarusjun: Jul 27 2007, 13:38 |

Try this change in regestry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Profiles\ TFLASH] Folder ="HDD" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Profiles\ TFLASH] Name ="HDD" \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\CorniceHDD Folder = "HDD1" Reboot and you got your SD-Card as HDD and HDD goes to HDD1 You can try to remove phisicaly the HDD, but draining of battery will be the same or a little smaler - it is tested! |
