Hi guys,

I recently purchased led alerts for my BJ2 and like it a lot, it alerts me to my emails 95% of the time and things on my schedule 100% of the time not to mention being able to leave it on silent at meetings instead of vibrate and reading the lights.

I just noticed the last few days that it doesn't alert me on text messages though. I tried changing the colors as a test but it doesn't seem to work. I don't get to test this too often because i pay for texting sad.gif but my friends send a msg or 2 every week and this weekend I noticed that no led alerts ever come up on txt messages.

Anyone else have that issue or is it just me? Once in a while led alerts doesn't alert of email either even with it set to the selection where it should keep track of unread email on the phone and flash indefinitely.

Just wanted to get some feedback here on your experiences and if I can get it to flash on txt messages and perhaps get it to flash on email 100% of the time.

Thanks folks

I have problems not seeing lights for sms or missed calls every once in a while, usually if the phone's been on for 3+ days without a reboot, I don't notice about voicemail since no one leaves me voicemail or meeting notices because I always keep snoozing them until I dismiss. but missed calls and sms don't show sometimes and I have to restart the phone OR go into task manager and kill ledservice and then restart it by going to the start menu then led alerts and hitting it's start button, that makes them work again.

I emailed ledalerts tech support and they said it was probably a registry error and to try a hard reset (sounds like a canned response) too much work for me to try right now with all the stuff I have on my phone, but I might one of these days.

If you don't want to pay for extra messages to test sms alerting you can go to your inbox, select a message and do "mark as unread" and that will make your sms led come on.

Yeah I have a feeling that a lot of answers are canned or just general answers, he gave me the answer that it alerts for txt msgs with txt but not pictures (MMS)

That's why I decided to ask you guys. Thanks for sharing your experience. I actually explained to the tech when i was trying it out that I pretty much have to reboot the phone every few days just for this program (or do what u did, stopping the program). After I found out how to "disconnect from wireless" here, that solved most of the phone issues in the past and I didn't want to go back to resets throughout the week.

The only time I know when i have to reset it is after I miss a message, that's not good, but it's an invaluable add on for me. I just leave the phone face down and let the light reflect off my desk when i am in a meeting or stare at the light when i walk around, it's so convenient.

I guess I can live with it.
Btw, the tip for the txt messages works great, the light "should" work I guess, it came right on.

Hope it works next time.

Thanks
