Well, I've tried everything I can think of. Have looked at all the posts about app unlocking the BJII and still can't get it to work. I have all the registry entries set up exactly as suggested, have installed the Surreal Networks App Unlocker program, and still cannot run unsigned programs. Does anyone have any idea why my phone would continued to be locked after changing settings that unlocked everyone else's phone? Or why the unlocker app says that it has installed, but doesn't unlock it? I'm getting kind of desperate at this point cuz I can't find any more information.
edit: well, according to CheckUnlock.exe which I found somewhere on this site, my phone is unlocked...but when I try to run PocketSNES.exe I get the error: Access Denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate. So how the heck to I get around this? --dwpa This post has been edited by dwpa: Jan 24 2008, 05:16 |

this is what i experienced too. i did manipulate the CommManager with new images to get rid of that ugly green htc background and to complete my vista theme ;-) but as the exe now is different (although i used the original file to manipulate) the signing is gone bad and i get the error "program cannot run because it is not digitaly signed". is somebody firm in signing an exe file, i dont want to install all that sdk and visual studio stuff, and could sign that file for me please?
greetz peet ps: shure the phone is unlocked, it is that unlocked that it is open hearted now for shure, but still the error, because of the manipuation and the remaining original signing i think ;-) This post has been edited by peetx: Jan 26 2008, 20:45 |

I dont know how many times youv'e attempted this but I'll start fresh......
1. Hard Reset Device. (link here-) http://www.modaco.com/content/Samsung-i617...e-Blackjack-II/ 2. Install these two cabs and run the SDA unlockler from PC while connected to activesync: (link here-) http://www.mediafire.com/?ezdbdaoxmyh The two cabs need to be placed on the device..and run form the phone. You need to reboot after each install so that means three reboots in total (power off and on again)... secpolicies.cab is the one that did it for me I suspect...Also the SDA unlock from PC. I found that SurrealNetworks.cab wasnt enough It's been well documented that some app unlocking programs dont fully unlock all the registry and change all the policies required to get control over your device, by running more than one unlocker you have a better chance of getting full control. I know you probaby already know this but give it a go..... This post has been edited by Sed8ed: Jan 26 2008, 23:42 |

I know you probaby already know this but give it a go..... yep, already knew all, but did give it a try and.... 1. SDAUnlocker could not unlock my device 2. nor SurrealNetworks.cab could be installed (insuffient rights) 3. neither secpolicies.cab could be installed (same reason insuffient rights) i can unlock my phone by tweaks2k2 and i can install all certs by htc's AllowCertInstall.cab, too i got the sdkcerts.cab and some other things, ... ...BUT this all can't help running the hacked version of CommManager_green.exe (although i can run several other unsigned apps like SmartToolKit, ...) therefore i did ask if some developer would be that kind to take my hacked exe and re-sign it with any cert he got, i think because of my hack the existing signing went wrong and now prevents running the app?!? is there a helping hand or advice anywhere out there? knock knock knock @ SedBed: anyway thank you for taking the time and efforts to answer me greetz peet |
