 Gmail App, New kind of Gmail App problem

So I've been through this whole category and I've seen several different discussions of problems with the Gmail app, but none so far have addressed this particular issue...

I successfully installed the app and then successfully typed in my username and pw (a step that some others had initially had issues with). However, that's as far as I can go. You see, the "Sign In" button is way to the right of the screen. Moreover, it does not seem to be associated with any buttons on my BJ2 (not even the right-soft, which would intuitively be the correct one). The result is that I'm stuck at the login screen, unable to submit my login info.

Any ideas?

I hate Java applications.

I'm using the latest beta version of WebIS FlexMail, which supports IMAP IDLE (meaning push mail for gmail), and I haven't had any major problems with it. I would highly recommend it, though it isn't free.
