I used the instructions posted on this site to enable internal GPS and could get Route66 working OK. I noticed following
  1. Route66 only picks up GPS if I first enable it via GPSTEST. Not a big issue here.
  2. When I am running Route66, I cannot receive any calls.
  3. If I exit Route66 and GPSTEST, I still cannot receive any calls.
  4. If I turn off and turn on the machine, I start receving the calls.
Anyone knows config changes that can fix this.

Sounds like a Route66 issue to me. I heard of too many R66 issues with the BJII, so I wound up going with Garmin Mobile XT, which does not have the problems you mentioned and I am able to receive calls. In fact, it continues to tell me where to turn while I am in a call, which is really pretty cool smile.gif

Thanks for the advice. With Garmin Mobile XT, do you have to keep GPSVP runnig? Also, are you using Modaco utility to enable GPS on COM4 Port?

Garmin is able to work on a brand new device without any modifications.

So no GPS hacks, and no GPSVP are necessary. Sometimes you may need to hardreset before the GPS works after switching GPS programs, but it shouldn't be problem after that.

I also had a problem using GPSTest / Google Maps, and then my phone didn't work till I restarted it (Power Button --> Phone off/on).. So, maybe GPSTest is to blame? Or can it be a conflict with 3G/GPS.. I was using the Vodafone 3G/HSDPA network..
