I got a weird one, seems with any other ROM than the OrangeUK 4.1.1.4 I get a screen corruption, only on TomTom, everything else is fine.

Ok a few questions as I'm pulling my hair out trying to get my legal copy of Tomtom to work (don't really want to go down the pirated TT5 route)

Where did you install the patch to? phone or SD card (I tried both)

Which ports have you got open? I've tried all sorts but to no avail!

TT5 works straight off and I just had one port set then (com 6 out) but tt4 just won't run sad.gif

I also install the new orange rom and my tomtom 4 has stopped working.

I have installed the traffic patch that previously got it working with a non tomtom gps device but this time it just doesn't want to find the gps device.

If anyone has got this working, could they possibly provide a walk through on how then got it working?

Thanks
Mark

Which ROM are you guys talking about? Can anyone PM me a link to where one might obtain this ROM please.

Cheers

The ROM is version 4.2.1.1 but we cannot post a link as it has not yet been officially released.

If you search the right places you will find it.

Anyway I've done a bit more testing (and still failed to get it to work!) I've tried with my original TT GPS unit and a Fortuna Clip On and neither work. If I leave the Clip On with it's real name then it stays (but doesn't work) if I rename it to TomTom Wireless GPS then Tomtom deletes the bluetooth connection on startup and I have to go and add it again sad.gif

TTM5 just works straight away with pretty much any settings

Have you got the tab on the mini-sd set to read only? Give that a try

I did too.

I live in hope that OrangeUK are paying attention to this and working on the "TomTom v4 fix", hence the delay.
