Time for one of those "what's the point of that?" ideas but here goes!
 How's about (in my best Jimmy Saville voice) an option in CA to run as a Today plugin a-la my very rough mockup:

Number of downloads: 6Not sure if it would be of any use to anyone (or possible), just a wacky idea!

I like the sound of it ... to keep it running in the background as a service, and just updating the front screen. Does the front screen update that quickly though?
