Evening all,

I just got my new Omnia with a mobile subscription today and am not so pleased with it thusfar. From a hardware point of view it's absolutely amazing and just what I wanted, however the firmware I have currently isn't so amazing...
I think it's due to the dutch firmware installed on it.

The things which bother me the most:

- Divx / Xvid wont play decently. Neither with the built in players or with TCPMP. I have constant stuttering and cannot watch any video
- both Opera and internet explorer sometimes won't connect to my HSDPA connection even though the signal strength icon states it has an active connection
- several programs just don't respond properly

I have the following firmware currently and would basically like to flash my Omnia to a more stable and better functioning english firmware.

PDA i900XKHH8/XKHH4
Phone: i900XXHH9

Please help me as currently I still need to carry my Tytn II around to watch movies.
And I haven't even tried installing TomTom yet because I need the movie issue fixed first...

MANY thanks in advance !!

Hi PalmBeer,

It's just like this. Just install frimware from DX region. You will loose the dutch Win Mobile and get the English version back.
I got my Omnia last week and did an Upgrade to DXHH1 and later to DXHI1. Right now I'm downloading DXHI2 which will be insatlled later this evening.
If you got a branded Omnia (Vodafone or T-mobile), the branding will also be gone.

Good Luck anyway.
