Hello all,

I use the digital clock widget on my Omnia and, for some weird reason, it always falls 1 hour behind. If I fix it, it stays that way for a while, then it falls back 1 hour again. The weird part is that the WinMo standard clock (next to the battery icon) is always right. I thought the widget clock was in sync with the WinMo internal clock.

I'm using the G4 firmware. I live in Brazil (-3 GMT), no daylighht savings time yet. Maybe it's trtying to adjust automatically to DST??

The PC with wich I sync the Omnia also has the correct time.

TYIA!

Mine is doing the same thing - the time widget is one hour behind the system/omnia clocks. I am guessing that it has something to do with daylight savings (here in australia we started daylight savings last week). The widget might be picking up the non-daylight savings time. It is definitely annoying.

It is the DST databse that the Winmo and Samsung seem not to share. I am in Sydney and I have exactly the same problem. The old date for the start of DST in Eastern Aus was 26 Oct and the new date is 6 Oct. I changed the date to 26 Oct and the widget clock is the same and the system clock. I changed it back to the current date, and widget clock is one hour slower....

So, one will have to wait until Oct 26, or other dates for other countries for the widget to apply the DST time change.

If you ask me the whole DST idea is crazy!!

Thanks. I am glad its not going to be a permanent feature of my phone = just have to try and remember not to pay any attention to the widget time tongue.gif Nice of samsung to muck this up with their precious widgets. Given that they have released so few of them - I would have expected them to iron out all the bugs.

@Lazy- mine is an ebay purchase, I haven't heard of them being released yet in Oz.
