Does anyone know how you would go about having the ability to launch an application and switch to landscape from a shortcut in the programs folder? Having a look through various forums it would seem you have to program a .mscr file .... not sure what executable launches the i900 to flip into landscape though
Basically I want to launch tomtom and have it rotate into landscape and maybe even GPSGate too. I've turned off the auto landscape as I have Manilla2D installed (ITS AN AWESOME KILLER APP ! But its has not landscape support yet plus its bugging me flipping into landscape to portrait when I'm trying to unlock the device etc.) Any suggestions are welcome. I have found something along the lines of what I need, the attached zip contains a mscr file which launches iGuidance + GPSGate + AstroGPSLauncher for the HTC Titan - why launch two GPS splitter I don't know it also does stuff with timeouts for power and backlight which I don't think is needed. Ok just run through the scripts, replacing like for like. Just need to know what executable launches the Accelerometer - then I will be able to test this

Wouldn't it be easier to set screen rotation to Automatic - I use TomTom on mine and it rotates the app with the accelerometer. With a bit of editing of the HTCHomeSettings.xml file I moved the slider bar in Manila 2D so it is visible in landscape - some of the widgets don't display (contacts and messages if I remember correctly) but it is still usable
