Hi,

Ive had a good look, but cant find where I need to go to uninstall programs/software on my omnia.

Ive gone into settings/hard reset, however it asks for a password, but there is no keyboard to type this in with, no matter what I touch.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Ive just found the following thatreally helped - Im guessing It was to do with the middle button!

QUOTE
Ok I managed to hard reset it.

The instructions are correct:;
- remove the battery
- replace the battery
- press call + end call + soft reset button (at the same time) (the phone is still off at this moment).

The trouble I had so far is that while pressing the call + end call button, somehow the middle button is also depressed. As a result nothing happens.

So to make sure the center button is not pressed, the trick is to spread your fingers further apart. And test it by pressing the center button. If you can press it down while holding on to the two buttons it means that you're fine. Otherwise it means your fingers are not far apart enough.

Good luck to those who need to do hard reset. I spent a whole day figuring this out.

If anyone knows of an easy to uninstall programs, that would be great - a bit like on widows.

The 'password' you are asked for is 1234, which is also displayed in the text. This is for "Are you really sure to hard reset and delete all of your settings/data?"-security reason smile.gif Why you couldn't see any keyboard to type '1234' is because you have to tap the little icon in the middle at the bottom bar (which brings up the keyboard and hides again with a tap).

To uninstall any software go to 'settings' > 'system' > 'remove programs'. There you'll see a list of installed software. Tap the software you want to uninstall and tap the 'remove' button at the bottom right.
