Don't you think our Omnia is better off without the Start Menu?, Is there a way to disable or remove it?

I was starting to notice that topics here are getting repeated more often and I hope this one is not! biggrin.gif

Don't you think that the start menu could take unwanted memory and space! I mean I can't remember accessing it after almost 2 months of using my Omnia!

Anyhow, I was just wondering is there a way "registry key preferably" to disable or completely remove the start menu from the top bar? and maybe use it for something else?

I hope that you guys don't ignore this topic as it might get really interesting and a very good hack/trick to use.

I agree as well. I use it just because i don't want to use the built in omnia menu. But it would be nice if the omnia menu could sort the files into folders (eg. games). Than that would be a great idea.

I tried googling "disable start menu in windows mobile" or "remove start menu" I found many sites talking about it, but couldn't really figure out a way, there is even a registry key that I found somewhere but I can't find i again! I wish if I can just disable it...

Is there a way to manipulate the upper bar anyway? meaning changing the location of the icons or changing the icons themselves? I know you can do even more than that is UIQ phones...

i noticed how other apps remove that taskbar and then when the said program hanged or ended unexpectedly, it then forget to put the taskbar back, im left with today screen without taskbar and the only way to bring it back is soft reset.
