It's just another cab to install on the Mio 8380. They bundle it with the Mitac. If you're missing the cab for it just install the installer for your 8380 at:

See Arisne's post in this thread:

http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88304

It mentions that second cab. It comes preinstalled on my 8380, so up to you to figure it out smile.gif

I've got it working. I had to install both CAB files to the phone, not the SD card, else I too got the "cannot find..." error. Also, I had to create the folder IPSMTemp and put the Metris.jar file in there.

Who'd have thought it? Actual, honest-to-God Java on SPVs!

Cheers to Smartphone France, and I suppose to Mitac too...

metalstrike can be found in one of those downloads as well wink.gif

there are also some other apps on the mio such as a task manager that spv owners don't get by default (of course we get great freeware versions instead wink.gif)

Just a word of warning. After installing everything, me and Paul have both had to hard reset our phones ;p

Trying to work out which app is killing it now...
