If any one has tmobile and has tzones working, please help me out~~ Thanks~ if its tmobile US, below is what i posted on another forum, hopefully it'll help u... spent an hour with T-mobile customer service yesterday, finally got MMS working. tested it b4 i hung up on them ![]() internet setting was easy ( read jeff's post above,<<<<Delete the Singtel, then make a new one called T-Mo internet2 (or what you want) - the APN is internet2.voicestream.com - no user name, no password>> thx jeff ). but the MMS was quite a chore. thought i'd share with u guys here......( T-Mobile USA only ) in order to get MMS working, first u have to create ANOTHER new modem called "T-Zone" per T-mobile. main menu > settings > connections > then connections again (above GPRS) > tap "add new modem connection" under "My Internet". put a name whatever u want(i prefer t-zone) > select cellular line(GPRS) from the scroll down menu > next > APN: wap.voicestream.com > leave user name, password, etc. blank > finish. alright, now u have 2 modem connection settings on My Internet. ( do NOT touch anything else ) back to main menu, tap message > menu > MMS option > go to profile > u can either create a new profile or edit profile, but i prefer to rename the singtel's name. > on the edit profile page enter these settings: MMS Profile: T-Mobile MMS (or whatever u want) MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms Data Connections: t-zone(not t-mobile) Gateway: WAP 2.0 IP Address: 216.155.165.50 (right, its 50 not 050) Port: 8080 then tap done... if its still not working try this: back to the main menu, open up the back cover (while the phone is on w/o any programs running)and take out the battery. wait for 30 sec. then put battery back in. turn the phone on and u all set.... ![]() after these settings, u'll be able to use MMS. try to send urself one pic. enjoy guys!!! ![]() This post has been edited by Lancez: Sep 25 2008, 03:24 |

On the Sumsung site (the UK version anyway) they have a support page which will send you a text message with MMS/GPRS settings for the UK networks.
Might be worth looking to see if there's a US version. UK version is here: http://uk.samsungmobile.com/supports/confi...e/wapSetting.do (Obvious change of modifying "uk" to "us" or "www" just gives 404s though. |

You tube works via vTap. It just downloads the videos first. If you're phone was locked to t-mobile you'd need the $19.99 plan for anything more than WAP sites. Having an imported unlocked phone rulez. Be sure to setup your proxy server correctly. The proxy tab just disappears sometimes. It took me 3 days of messing with it to get t-Zones setup correctly. Everytime i update the firmware I have so much trouble getting it up and running again. |
