Hello

I just got my Omnia recently and i have quite a few problems, like cant use wifi(eventho it says connected), send sms`s and few other things so i was thinking to do the hard reset.

My question is what will hard reset do, i know i loose my storage file, but after hard reset all the phone normal system and application stays on or i need to install this somehow?

Also, friend suggested me to upgrade firmware which could solve my problems, now i have PDA: i900XXHG9/PNHG9, PHONE: I900XXHG8 , which firmware should i donwload and from where(install instructions)?

Thank you

Welcome to the site smile.gif

A hard reset will revert the phone back to it's factory setting as it was when you first unboxed it.
WiFi could be down to your routers settings, I know I have real issues on any device with my home network but free WiFi hot spots I do not have any problems.

Regarding the best ROM as I do not own an Omnia I can not really say which would be the best to use if any.
What I do always say though is get used to the device first before jumping on the let's upgrade bandwaggon.
It is true some ROMs can help but it is also true that there is always a chance if something goes wrong then you may end up with a nice paperweight.
The safest option is to wait for your network to release an upgrade or if you bought it out of contract see what Samsung have to offer. Remember your warranty could be affected by flashing the ROM, but most people get away with it.
