I've not got around to using the certification hack yet, but I think Tetris has just persuaded me!

Is it really worthwhile de-certifying your SPV, I mean, there are sufficient programs for the SPV and though it may take a while, there are going to be other programs certified. How long could it possibly be before someone makes a word processor?

What and where can I find the certification hack.
You might find this article about a Microsoft Update to fix security flaws interesting too http://www.silicon.com/bin/bladerunner?30R...B=REQINT1=56995 |

Superb! Now I've got a reason to unlock my SPV!
One quick question tho - any french-speakers out there able to translate the installation instructions? |

You need to copy the .cab file somewhere on your spv/storage card and run it from all-explorer. If you don't have all-explorer, create a shortcut to the .cab file and put it in ipsm/windows/start menu/games and run it from the programs menu. It'll install and put a shortcut in /games.
Nice stuff, its a bit difficult to slide blocks at the very last minute though.. -------------------- "If you can't control your peanut butter, you can't expect to control your life." - Calvin

That sounds like the CONTENTS of a CAB.
You sure you haven't opened the CAB in WinRAR/Winzip or something? P -------------------- Paul O'Brien - Microsoft MVP, Mobile Devices, MoDaCo.network Founder. Check out my Blog! £10 off a £20 spend at eXpansys - click for details |

For some reason .CAB files are shown as a winzip or winrar file (depending on what you use) someone give me the reason :? A few times in the early days I was doing the same  but you get to know what's a .CAB file and what's not tomdbomb61 PLease don't cross post I've just realised I've answered your question TWICE  so you will never need to ask this question again  until next time -------------------- |

wow a game ive been waiting for
Orange have annoyed me by doing this - i dont buy there excuse of the network security of rogue apps as theyve left the 9210 an open plattform and not made certification a prequisite on that and they dont intend to with the p800! |

Personally i think the phone is more than capable to run better looking games other than Tetris so for now i guess it will fill the gap until people start porting SNES games/Emulators and Quake 2!!
How frustrating is it that the technology is there right in front of you when you use the phone to make a call but you cant get playing some cool games on your handset. Then again it cant be too hard really as all they have to do is port windows CE games over to Smartphone with modifications to the code to run right on Orange SPV. Then we will all have a phone that everyone wants so they can play all these mega releases on it. Also this would benefit the Orange Network attracting customers for this very same reason. (Wonder why orange didn't see it this way in the first place with the certification rubbish!) C'mon developers show us your expert talent, the wait is killing me!! -------------------- ![]() |

Ok then mr "DJ" watts, if porting and developing is so easy, why dont you show us your port of Quake 2? and Snes emulators. Im sorry but you clearly cant understand any fundamental concepts of programing or the architecture of the phone to make such random comments. Personally I think all of the developers are doing a great job at supplying us all with great free software! No tetris isnt ground breaking in terms of graphical power, but then again an spv doesnt have a geforce in it does it! However, it still demonstrates the developers great coding skills and good attitude to take the time to produce it for us! In fact, ill tell you what....ill start work on porting over counterstrike, quake 3, unreal tournament 2003 and the alpha code of doom 3 for the spv...ill be done by the morning! :x -------------------- "I'm sorry you'll have to speak up - i'm wearing a towel"
