I have seen many successes with updating to the OFICIAL DXHH1 firmware and i'm wondering if someone failed to do so.

I'm making this poll so ppl who didn't flash yet can make a "risk assessment". tongue.gif

Is this "official" in the sense that should I flash my new orange phone with this and it go horribly wrong, I would be able to go back into the orange shop and get them to resolve the problem for me.

Or is it official in the sense that it may be used in the service centres, but if I do it myself, then I risk stuffing myself for the cost of a new handset?

Well, I suppose you could *theoretically* take it back to O and demand they fix it...

After removing my post above of course laugh.gif

Hmm - I think Ill leave it for now. Mine seems to be running fine without, the haptic on the keyboard would be a nice addition, but as it works with most other stuff Ill live without for a while I think.

Within the first 28 days you can return it to orange (Or if you have the insurance untill you cancel it)
Using the excuse "I turned it on and all i got was this blank screen" is a excellent excuse. I get it all the time at my work

Hi Paul,

Updated mine successfully too but.......here are some feedback

HH1 - Official (with HH1 Radio) Vs HH1 - Unofficial (with HG4 radio)
1) Batt life equal to Unofficial one with HG4 radio
2) The screen and apps response apprears a tad slower than Unofficial. Can also tell from the auto screen rotation that it does not rotate as smooth
3) First time trying to pair the Official ROM with my BT Headset came back with a BT Hardware error - soft reset solved it
4) No extra Today Widget as you had mentioned
5) Serious slowdown in EDGE connection vs the "Unofficial with HG4" - maybe the absorption rate for HH1 is not for this region

As mentioned in the previous post about the leaked rom, I did my update just fine.

However, I feel that the new rom, in some areas, are a lot slower than my previous DXHG4.

If I go to Start > Programs and browse through the programs, it sometimes can't keep up with the browsing
and leaves me with a blank programs screen for a few secs, until it finally loads the icons.

Regards
Jimmi

Radio version = Phone version in the Start -> Settings -> System -> Version applet.

Hard to say as yet, as I didn't really have major problems before.

I think there are still battery problems with this ROM because I was in Official G4 and i can see the differences !
I was at 100 % yesterday after having updated to H1 and 1 AFTERNOON and the end of the day + 1 NIGHT and it remains 40 % !!
I just make some messages, at about 3-4 without data connections, gps and so on.. !!
(sorry for my english I'm french)
