My contract is up on my SPV-E650 and its been good but I am liking the look of the Omnia, it does everything I want and most importantly I can use my 8GB Micro SDHC in it to give 16GB (HTC Touch Diamond would have been the choice but it is crippled IMO by the lack of expansion). I can get it on O2 18 month deal for £30 a month and a free phone which is about the same as my current Orange deal.
All the reviews have been very good but there are a couple of concerns I have before I jump in for my first touchscreen phone firstly does it really not have a mini USB2 port for connection to PC and charging (not the end of the world but a PITA)? What is reliability like as the Orange buy said a lot had come back with problems (Software and Hardware) and also Samsung couldn't get parts for it? Does anyone use TomTom Mobile 5 on theirs, I have it from back when I had my SPV-C550 and use it on the E650? Cheers, Carl. -------------------- Phone History:

No its doesnt have miniUSB its Samsung proprietary jack, Reliability in my personal opinion is very good dependant on the ROM but i havent been using official ROMs so thats to be expected. To be honest i imagine alot get returned as people possibly dont realise its a WinMo device with such a consumer push and just dont have time for windows or like the interface just my thoughts...? |

I can live with the non USB connection, will just need a new car charger. THe E650 is my second WinMO device and I am well versed in the interface so no problems there. I won't use any un-official ROMs if I don#t have to but cheers for the feedback. Carl. -------------------- Phone History:
