Not rushed out and bought a Diamond (HTC P3700) yet? Not totally sold on it's angular design? Like the MDA Compact IV but not the T-Mo branding or the ugly, grey battery cover? Then allow me to introduce the HTC Victor (P3702)! Whilst it may be slightly bigger than the "original" Diamond, the P3702 has a few subtle differences:
The Victor is out now in the Asian market but it's as yet unkown if it'll head to our shores. You can catch some pics of this puppy being unboxed HERE by "PDA-King". -------------------- |

Well, seeing as Paul actually has a T-Mo branded Victor, I know who I'd be more inclined to believe

Don't forget the RAM spec is odd, its a normal 128MB+64MB not completely accessible (*looks at Paul for more info*)

All Diamond variants have 128MB real RAM, and 64MB alongside the CPU I believe.

Hi guys
I live in Taiwan and I can confirm the P3702 has identical hardward to the Diamond (e.g. 128MB + 64MB RAM). It's merely a different case design, ala T-Mobile's version, for those who don't want something too fancy (although all the adverts over here are for the Diamond version). If you're curious, you can view the P3702 at one of Taiwan's largest online stores: http://shopping.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&am...EAA2H-A27237124 (beware, there's a lot of Flash and images on the site, so it may take a while to load). It's the same the price as the normal Diamond (GBP394 unlocked). Kind regards |

It really does look quite incredible. I had no problem with the original design (although I could see why some might), but this design is absolutely beautiful. Great work htc on a quick fix.

Kind regards I am travelling out to Taiwan on business next week and am going to purchase the HTC Victor cause I believe that it is so much nicer than the Diamond. BUT I have been told that the ROM does not support WWE and I will have to update the ROM to get English. Would you know if that is the case?? Appreciate any help on this.... |
