In a move to concentrate efforts on their new "l33t" branding, HTC have setup a subsidiary company, BandRich Inc. Although officially BandRich will only manufacture the 3/3.5G devices, it is rumoured that they could take over all OEM responsibilites from the parent company. Hopefully, this will be a good move for end users but as with all things, time will tell...

So does this mean that HTC could just be doing the R&D of future models eventually?

I hope that this works out - I have always been really impressed with the build quality of HTC smartphones and PPCs... it would be a shame if that changed .

Isn't it 'BandRich' not BrandRich - BrandRich is just too cheesy....
