I installed Cameraware on my Touch HD when I first got it to have a look at but have just today registered for Navizon. I thought I'd try a reinstall because the fonts were too large for the display. When I tried to reinstall it removed the copy installed and runs through the install process again but at the end says "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions". If I look in Program Files it's created the Cameraware directory with the Database, Skins and Sounds directories but all of them contain no files. There are no registry entries created for it either. This happens if I install to Device or Storage Card using the .cab or the Desktop installer.
Just wondering if anyone's got any ideas what's going on? I guess I could try Microsoft Security Configuration Manager to lower the security levels but didn't have to when I first installed it. Edit As a temporary work around I've extracted the contents of the cab file and copied them across manually and Cameraware runs again but still with incorrect fonts. The ZLCD font file was still in the Windows directory from before but Cameraware isn't making use of it, it's just using a large standard font. Edit 2 Well I've fixed the font problem. It seems the cab tries to create the zlcf.ttf file in the Windows directory but it's not fully created. I've just overwritten it with the one I extracted from the cab (same size and date) and the text works as expected now. This post has been edited by Prof. Yaffle: Nov 30 2008, 02:31 |

A version of the CAB file shipped with a corrupt font file, which has now been fixed, apologies...

There's a Touch HD version here that works.
