Guest BAD dave
I am having problems bonding my SPV E200 with a BT-77 Bluetooth GPS receiver for use with TomTom. I have ticked the Inbound COM6 & Outbound COM7 port options in BT Serial Port Setup (Settings/Configurations). Then in the Bluetooth menu I select Bonded Devices….Menu….1 New. After a minute or less “BT GPS” appears under Discovered Devices. So far, so good! When I click “Add” it prompts me to “Enter a Bluetooth PIN of your choice to bond with the BT GPS. The same PIN must be entered on both devices”. What number needs to be added here? How many digits? There is no obvious passkey in the GPS documentation or on the unit itself. I have tried serial numbers, etc but nothing works. I cannot simply bypass the screen by clicking “Done” and every number I enter leads to an error message which reads: “Your Device did not bond with BT GPS. The device could not be found or the Bluetooth PIN is wrong”. Is there some way around this? Do I need to enter a matching Bluetooth PIN somewhere on the E200? But How? Which Menu? There is a screen on E200 Bluetooth Settings which reads: Device Name: “Smartphone” Beam Authentication required (passkey) checkbox. What should be entered here? Getting really frustrated! Please help! :D Thanks Dave
Guest SKOOBICE
Most bluetooth devices use 0000 as the pin code (nice and simple!!)
