Cookie problem ?

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble with the colour-shading in the New Posts markers.

If I click 'Mark All Read' I'm not clearing the orange markers.

They only go if I read the individual posts.

Also the orange shading is not following through to the parent directory title when I go back to the forum main page.

Problem occurs on Win98 & XP machines using AOL and IE browsers.

Anyone else having this problem ?

That seems to have sorted it - cheers :D

Thought it might be clock-related. Forum clock is fast by my reckoning, but changing PC to agree didn't change anything.

Fixed now though !

I've had a problem, apparently with cookies, where I now have to log in each visit. I've deleted the cookie file so it would start over but it still does it. Anything you can think of that I might be missing or not doing correctly?

Thanks!

Edit: As if to prove me a liar, it works now. I didn't have to log in this time. Go figure. :-)

Generally it looks as though my problem was caused by the very annoying (you're going to guess this...) AOL browser.

However after switching to IE or Firefox I still have a more specific problem.

If I'm in Smartphone Main and click 'Mark All Read' then the board clears out the Unread markers for the whole Main sub-section - including Customisation, Software etc.

I don't mean the individual threads, just the headers when I'm on the forum front page.

Tell me I'm not going mad... :?:

EDIT : I think the same problem occurs when clicking 'Mark All Read' in the Typhoon section. Clears out markers from headers for whole section.
