Found this emulator here http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...2005-09,GGLD:en

Credit goes to Buster1979 of www.sda-forum.de

here is what he says and instructions Translated from german :D

Surprise! It goes finally loosely....! YES! You can do finally ZOCKEN!!

I poste here straight times contents of the Readme.txt here purely:

Pocket main header bit SP2003 - Alpha 3

Guidance

1. You must copy the files ABSOLUTE into the following listing: "\Storage\My Documents\PH \". otherwise does not function to pocket main header bits!

2. Copied into the same listing your D64 Files (other formats at present yet are not supported!)

there are 2.1 plays massively under www.c64.com

3. The file opens "PHSP2003.cfg" (goes believes I with any supplementary product line for Smartphones)

3.1 alternative can work on you also the file at your PC and rueberkopieren

4. Writes now to the file names your D64 Files there purely (e.g. ghostbusters.d64)

5. Now PocketHobbitSP2003 starts

6. The left soft key for LOAD "*", presses 8, 1

7. (for a long time) to the program is loaded and the Cursos waits again appears

8. Presses * for RUN

9. Zockt the game; -)

10. Terminates the emulator over the right soft keys

11. A feedback writes me. The fewer feedbacks I get, the more improbably the advancement; -)

11. My E-Mail address: Mail@Christian Schlatter.de

Control

- left soft key: Load "*", 8, 1

- asterisks (= "*"): RUN

- Joystick: As had

- pressure on Joystick: RETURN or SPACE (I could not find out yet)

- right soft key: Terminate

- number of 9: FIRE

EDIT: Apparent 9 is not the FIRE Button, but the left soft key!!!

CHANGE log:

- most important feature: One can zocken finally; -)

- D64 Dateiunterstuetzung

- terminating the program by right soft key key

So, I hope, it have very much fun thereby and write properly me feedback (you want nevertheless still surely a keyboard entry  )

For questions and suggestions I am to you gladly at the disposal.

Here again my E-Mail: Mail@Christian Schlatter.de

Download Here http://www.sda-forum.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=458

maybe a better translation for you guys

1. copy the files into a directory of your choice

2. put the .d64 (other filetypes aren't supported yet) files into the same directory

2.1. There are many games at www.c64.com

3. start pockethobbit2003

4. press left softkey and choose a game

5. wait a while, until the program starts and the cursor is shown

6. press * to run

7. play (=zockt *gg*) the game

8. to finish emulator press the right softkey

9 give the guy feedback he did a great job i think (just need to test it)

keys:

left softkey: choose a game

star: run

joystickpress: RETURN or SPACE (he did not figured out, what it is exaclty)

right softkey: quit

0 = fire

1 = limit speed

2 = sound on/ off

3 = reset

4 = landscape mode on / off

This is great stuff, I look forward to seeing how this develops!

Alas I havent actually been able to play many games since I have trouble finding the keys needed to start most games, I hope the option to set up the keys is something that arrives soon. But I know its an alpha, its just impatience. :D

A C64 in my pocket, a boyhood dream!

Maybe I'm a bit dumb or so, but I cannot find a download for this software anywhere that works... Can anybody help me?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What about keyboard emulation? as well as the Function keys on the emu?

Lots of games required keyboard input as well as joystick..

OMFG!!! ;) CHEESY GRIN FROM EAR TO EAR

I'd prefer a stand alone sid player ;) As well as an emu cause my c500 can't play sound and game at the same rate.. So if anyone wants to port a Smatphone SID player I'll be waiting..

And the 'ol SYS64738 works too ;)

Wonder if it will allow the old soft reset as well ?

I remember Poking and peeking memory locations like it was yesterday..

*trys to stick a bent paperclip in his C500* Ooooops :twisted:

I'd forgotten about the paperclip, worked every time; and I've not had a good Poke in ages.

Got my C64 in 83 as a nipper, soon got into Jeff Minter..and now..just got Ancipital working on this emulator on my C500. Oh my God, I'm 13 again. Fantastic!!

Need to try sheep in space, revenge of mutant camels etc.

My life is complete

Hm...no I think this is not possible. To play SID as ringtones you'd have to convert them into wav, mp3 or midi.

Why don't you just convert them into mp3? Just play the sid file and record it with line-out or a microphone.

Bye,

Buster

works like a charm (some games don't tho..)

i had problems with multiple disk games (don't know if it's because of your emulator - havn't tested enough games for judging that)

There is no ini so I can't set it to use whole QVGA screen. unfortunately I also can't take screenshot, somehow the "power button" hotkey stops working as soon as I launch PocketHobbit.

I am using an SPV C550 to use PocketHobbit I have a QVGA screen I believe on this device and PocketHobbit seems to use the screen well in landscape mode.

In portrait mode it doesnt use the whole screen but I guess it would look abnormal if it did.

I Cant get the emulator to load tap roms up yet though it will recognise the files and I have had difficulty loading a few disk images Creatures,Ghosts n goblins , ghouls n ghosts, enigma force are afew that didnt load up.

however this could all be down to roms and I cant be bothered creating somekind of device to load and convert the actual tapes/disks to my pc to test them out.

In general the emulator is great , the text is a little hard to read but we are talking about a mobile phone screen to play something designed for a 14+ inch TV so its not bad.

being able to play r-type whilst waiting in a hospital queue or on the bus is fantastic well done.

one word of advice is turn of phonepad tones as they slow things down and get annoying ;)
