Guest JTHM
Folks I've noticed that when typing a writing a text message, if I use the '...' character under the extended character set rather than three individual stops the maximum individual text message length gets cut by 90 (!) characters - from 160 characters down to just 70! Why is this, anyone?
Guest fraser
It's a long standing problem due to "unicode" characters, used to extend the number of characters available (e.g. greek alphabet). Each char takes up two times the space. There's numerous threads on this problem, and some folks have managed to get refunds. Do a search for further info. Uncheck the box that says "Use Unicode when necessary". Done!
