Guest yoos Posted January 4, 2006 Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 For some reason my sprite backup has been failing recently (the scheduled daily backup to mini SD). So, I tried to record a voice message with echo voice recorder to the mini SD and received the error "Can't open file for recording" (it works if writing to phone). OK, what the heck is the problem?! I open smart explorer and it allows me to create a folder on the mini SD! I just installed the new papyrus 1.2 on the mini SD and that worked fine... OK, I have no idea what the problem is... Echo and Sprite can't write to the card!! Any ideas??? I don't want to do a hard reset.... The error in Sprite Backup says: CreateFileW failed on \Storage Card\Program Files\Sprite Backup for Smartphone\ExcludeRomFilesList.ini Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When clicking on the Storage Card it says: Size: 968.3 MB Free: 279.1 MB When clicking on the Storage Card properties it says: 2145 file(s), 636.69 MB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest yoos Posted January 4, 2006 Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 So I just deleted about 35 megs in the root mini SD folder (both Sprite and Echo were trying to write to the root). Echo now works!! \o/ I'm trying Sprite now... Is there a limit to the amount of space you can use in an SD card, or in the root?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
