I use Google for searching, Exchange for mail, I'm not really into FlickR etc... so i've kinda missed out on the Yahoo! thang. Just lately however i've had a bit more exposure, firstly due to their 1.0 release of Go, and secondly because when I was looking around for a new free mail account for my dad, Yahoo! turned out to provide the best solution for his needs. If you're a Windows Mobile'r, you've now got a real geniune reason to learn a bit more about Yahoo!, with their release of Yahoo! Go 2.0. Initially released as a 'Gamma' version (think better than Alpha and Beta but not final!) for Portrait Smartphones only (with landscape + Pocket PCs to follow), the new application provides some very funky features, and is actually set to be installed in ROM on future HTC devices. The application can be downloaded at the Yahoo Go! Guest Confucious Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 320 * 240 for WM5 due in April - according to the text I received when trying to sign up from my Universal Interesting that WM6 includes Windows Live and HTC are going to include Yahoo Go in ROM. Aren't they similar things? When you've had a chance to play maybe you could review both of them and let us know if they are competing products and the pros and cons of both? Guest madbandit Posted March 22, 2007 Report Share Posted March 22, 2007 I'm not 100%, but i think i am missing something... yahoo site tells me to sling my hook and won't give me a link to dl the software... either on the phone or browsing the web on the PC. http://sites.mobile.yahoo.com/go/mobile/windows gives me setup / cab files... will update once i've tried them!
