Getting the most from the phone

8 posts in this topic

I have an SPV M3100 on Orange and just got an Orange World bundle. What I wanted to know is how to get the most out of my phone.

I have a general list of things that I wanna use it for.

Post photos to Flickr account - currently use Shozu

Post videos to YouTube account - currently using Shozu

Post to Wordpress blog - Could do it with email

Send and receive emails - Currently using Emoze

Read RSS feeds - Using Google Reader mobile version

Post and view twitter updates - Just through SMS

Use messengers and skype - IM+ and Skype mobile

Read articles with AvantGo - Not actual set it up yet

View and post of forums - I want to do this in a mobile limited form ideally

Some of these I use already but I wanted to know if there was better ways. Also as you can see I love all the blogging, twitter, etc stuff so if you know any other cool stuff, then let me know about that too please.

I just feel I have an amazing phone here and I want to get the best out of it and thought we could all bounce ideas off each other.

Thanks thumbsup4kk.gif

You might want to install MSN messenger. You can find a compatible version here, don't forget to install the patch as well.

The rest you seem to have sorted! <_<

Really. Is that it. I would have thought there would have been better ways to do things or new things that I haven't tried yet. Also is there a way to view forums and post on them without loading up the default view. Like making it more mobile friendly?

Also thanks for the reply and the MSN help

If you press the number buttons you can "dial" a "telephone" (sorry about all the jargon) and speak to somebody!

If it's somebody you know, or have something in common with, then so much the better

Just FYI you can use ShoZu to send to Wordpress as well, complete with titles and descriptions. You can add it directly from the ShoZu app on your handset under Share-It > Destinations.

Hope this helps.

Mark

How nice is it to have high speed data access anywhere? Your right to say it is an amazing phone.

I recommend the oft recommended pRSSreader for all your RSS needs and mention a MoDaCo PLUS subscription for some great freebies such as Opera Mobile 8.65 for your browsing pleasure ;)

I do this with the premium version of MobiBlogr, you can get it from handango and it includes a 30 day trial. This is a great, essential little app for me.
