Hi jesse1981,

I'm in Australia also, and previously had

DFHL1/XXHL1 running (stock from Virgin/Optus)

I flashed my Omnia 2 days ago with the Singapore ROM DZIA5/DXIA5 from:

http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/sg/sub02_xp.jsp

It works flawlessly! It also upgraded my phones firmware to DXIA5 from XXHL1

There's a few new features, connected home, google launcher, online widgets on the today screen etc.

After flashing it auto detected that I'm using virgin mobile and asked me if I wanted to set the mms settings to virgin.

Samsung Omnia i900 ROM WM6.5 v21731.S1L.lite

Detailed version:

I think this version is something between that will please everyone needs. I hope you are happy with it.

- Increased pagepool size to 14mb so you will notice that you have less ram but the system runs much faster than before. (Keyboard pop-up faster, less lags on Titanium, apps open faster etc). It is an ideal number i think for Omnia. Maybe i will make 16mb later if you dont report any problems opening big apps like Opera or gps.

- Added zylonite battery driver to show percentage %1 thanks to kabkab and battery icon thanks to Khuanchai and gianton.

- Optimized more files to achieve better space.

- No need to click Mortscript anymore. It is registered by default.

- Removed VoiceCommand, as non-English friends have problems when install their language. I will provide cabs later.

- Added more registry tweaks on sensitivity and incall volume.

- Added larger callerID screen when the phone it is locked thanks to condorx

- Added SDTuneup optmization for faster and sdcard reading.

- Updated CCom and Titanium System panels to latest. System panel should handle now sdcard 8GB+.

- Removed MS Office and One Note. There are cabs in Repository section that can be installed on \My Storage\. I have tried them and working. -->

--> MS Office - http://www.mediafire.com/?ylyhylzzmtj , MS One Note - http://www.mediafire.com/?j2jdwgnmyto

- Removed FavHacks and added AdvancedConfig 3.3

- Improved Widgets from last builds.

- Improved MyPhone.

- Improved Internet Explorer.

- Settings are now in alphabetic order.

- Now it is more stable and faster system.

- More Fixes and cosmetics on Titanium thanks to Genix.

- Fixed Start menu grid thanks to kurniawan.

- New Opera 15828!

- Removed old Java and added new JBend 2009. I think sound now should work

- MS Widgets (Money, Weather) + Marketplace + latest WMLive + LiveSearch + Transcriber+ VoIP.

- Added FingerKeyboard 2.1

- Added CHobit Smart lock. Now you can autolock your phone!

- Fixed Showaco latest Chome Editor 1.6 beta.

- Added Pakko's camera fix!

- Added SafeInboxExtender (can mark your messages As Unread)

- Added Opera AdBlock! Surf safely

- New InCallRecording!

- Added HTC Task Manager.

- Added HTC Album.

- Added .netcf3.5

- Added psShutXP, HTC Sensors, IMSelector.

- Kept Java, FM Radio (black version), FavoriteSettings, Internet Sharing, Games.

- Almost everything is removed, cant list everything it is known what DXID1 includes.

Known issues: Still finger mouse doesn't work.

As far as i know, you can use any ROM (correct me if i'm wrong). I've updated my Omnia from DXHJ1 to DZIA5 with no problems. Try to do following:
  • Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer
  • With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#
  • Select 'Preconfiguration'
  • Enter code *#81230*# and select OK
  • Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator
  • Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET
  • Go to http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp and select Singapure.
  • Download DZIA5 ROM (january 2009).
  • After flashing do preconfiguration again as described above, just this time select you country :)

At least it worked for me.

Hi i'm realy tired of this for 10 times i did this hard reset and it doesn't work for me i'm keep receiving the incorrect software version each time i want to update the rom some one plz help me

current version: PDA: i900DXHL2 i tried to udate to latest version which is i900DZIA5,

phone: i900DXHL2

i also upload the regedit file to my omnia, it runs but i can't change any thing i don't know why. i'm so desperate and tired help me...

But I'm with Vodafone not Optus. PDA i900BUHJ2 PHONE i900BUHI2

I'm assuming you used this ROM because it includes English language. Does it upgrade the thing to WM6.5 - I'm still @ 6.1?

You can flash to any i900 rom provided you've got xp to flash.. if not vmWare is highly recommended (with xp loaded). Make sure you read all the info about flashing (stickied) and understand the steps..

Good luck :)

Well, i'm probably the wrong person to ask if you want a totally objective answer (of course i prefer my own roms), but look through the threads and find a rom that you like the look of and that's got what you normally use.. have a look round, you can always try several different one's, the omnia can be flashed all day long (I flash mine at least once a day).. Just make sure to follow procedures when flashing and always have more than 80% charge :) ..
