Guest fatbutcher
Expansys have dropped the price of the HTC Shift to £499 for January LINK I've always liked the look of the Shift, but for me, its just gone from 'way to expensive' to just 'to expensive', is there anything that makes it really worth the money. I'm specifically thinking over a Redlfy or Netbook and teathering. Edited January 15, 2009 by fatbutcher
Guest Mysterious Stranger
Expansys have dropped the price of the HTC Shift to £499 for January http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?partner=modaco&i=177867%26partner=uknews I've always liked the look of the Shift, but for me, its just gone from 'way to expensive' to just 'to expensive', is there anything that makes it really worth the money. I'm specifically thinking over a Redlfy or Netbook and teathering. HK stock btw. Funny link URL you posted? http://www.modaco.com/content/bargains/279...htc-shift-p499/ Compared to an Athena/Advantage, the price is good. The redfly price is currently amazing btw compared to redfly's initial launch cost. Horses for courses, each has specific plus points. I use a redfly ( the original) quite a bit, but only if I'm using a phone without a keyboard. The video input on the latest version is a great idea. Haven't used my Athena much since I got the redfly and assume the redfly will get put to one side once the shift arrives etc etc... The Athena replaced an OQO 01+ that's now relegated to an in-car media centre. :) M.S Edited January 15, 2009 by Mysterious Stranger

Guest Limlin
http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?partner=modaco&i=177867&partner=uknews try that! The first link is Product is not found or is not available in this region. And the second link is the same. Maybe this phone is only available in that region. In others it can not be so cheap. :)
Guest awarner (MVP)
I think you will find that as the original posts were back in January Expansys do not appear to be selling the Shift any more.
