Guest KCN
Cool, now you've got that one sorted..... Does anyone know if there's a way to soft reset the phone without having to prize the flimsy back off continually? And any ideas if you'll be able to get into the bootloader for flashing in a similar way?

As for a soft reset - hold the power button for 15 seconds and it will reboot.

Guest pcmarcel
Didn't seem to work for me neither. After installing the wrong software and restarting the phone got splash screen and a backlighted black screen only. So had to hard reset it but couldn't get it done. Tried for 3 days and then it suddenly worked. Think it need some finesse (and I am not sure it will work next time, but it's working fine now and I'm not gonna try it :) ) Start up the phone the normal way (only power button), and after the splash screen and the backlighted black screen: Hold the power button on the left side for about fifteen seconds. Screen (phone) seems to be turned of again but is restarting. Push both camerabutton and volume-down button until green light comes on and camera's trembling. Release buttons and then the white master clear screen comes up. Volume down turns no into yes, camerabutton is [enter], again volume down for yes and camerabutton for [enter] and the phone should restart. Again... it took me three days to get it back but at the end it worked and I'm very pleased with that :) . So don't think it doesn't work... it's just a pain-in-the-ass-combination. Good luck.
