EDIT : This thread is obsolet, all codes are now known.

Pls refere to Samsung FUS Downloader for Windows Mobile based firmware, post number 2, for all codes.

Hi,

This is not so easy to choose CSC in the hudge one from secany ROMs.

So, I start to make a draft....

Can you please help me (and others ?) to complete this list (also asians people can help)?

The "CODE" is what you find after "I8000" and before rom version (i.e. : IJ6)

I found the coutry by cross-check over the web ...but realy not certain

The "LANGUAGE" is the default language when you select a CSC in OCTANS.

You can find operators in parameters/network parameters/operator setting (or something like that!))

CODE COUNTRY	 LANGUAGE			OPERATORS

AMN  SPAIN	   Spanish(Spain)	  "ORANGE"

ATO  AUSTRIA	 German(Germany)

AUT  SWITZERLAND German(Germany)

BMC  CANADA						  "BELL"

CNX  ROMANIA	 English(UK)		 "VODAFONE"

COA  ROMANIA	 English(UK)		 "COSMOTE"

CYO  GREECE	  Greek(Greece)

DBT  GERMANY	 German(Germany)

EUR GREECE Greek(Greece) "VODAFONE GR" "COSMOTE" "WIND GR"

FOP  SPAIN	   Spanish(Spain)

HAT  ROMANIA	 English(UK)

IRD  SLOVAKIA	Czech(Czech Rep.)

ITV  ITALY	   Italian(Italy)

MBM  MACEDONIA					   "T-MOBILE"

MOB  AUSTRIA	 German(Germany)	 "A1 mobilkom"

MOT  SLOVENIA	English(UK)		 "MOBITEL"

MOZ	 SWITZERLAND German(Germany)

MTL  BULGARIA	English(UK)

OMX  BULGARIA	English(UK)

ORO  ROMANIA	 English(UK)		 "ORANGE"

PAN  HUNGARY	 Hungarian(Hungary)

PLS  POLAND	  Polish(Poland)

PRO  NETHERLANDS English(UK)

PRT  POLAND	  Polish(Poland)	  "PLAY POLAND"

SEB  AUSTRIA	 English(UK)

SEK  UKRAINE	 Russian(Russia)

SER  RUSSIA	  Russian(Russia)

SIM  SLOVENIA	English(UK)		 "SIMOBIL"

SKZ  KAZAKHSTAN					  "BEELING"

SMO  SERBIA	  English(UK)

SUN  SWITZERLAND German(Germany)

SWC  SWITZERLAND German(Germany)

THA  THAILAND

TPH  PORTUGAL	Portuguese(Portugal)

TRA  CROATIA	 English(UK)

TUR  TURKEY

VGR  GREECE	  Greek(Greece)

VIP  CROATIA	 English(UK)

VIR  UK		  English(UK)		  "VIRGIN"

WIN  ITALY	   Italian(Italy)

XCS			  Czech(Czech Rep.)

XEB  BELGIUM	 English(UK)

XEE  SWEDEN	  English(UK)

XEF FRANCE French(France) "BOUYGTEL" "Orange F" "F SFR" "NRJ (SFR)" "Virgin" "Tele2" "Auchan" "Carrefour" "NRJ (ORANGE)"

XEH  HUNGRARY	Hungarian(Hungary)

XEN  NETHERLAND  Dutch(Netherlands)

XEO  POLAND	  Polish(Poland)

XEP  PORTUGAL	Portuguese(Portugal)

XEU  UK		  English(UK)

XEZ  HUNGARY	 Czech(Czech Rep.)

XSO  SINGAPORE

FAM SINGAPORE English "SingTel" "M1" "Starhub"

I've try to find a decoding somewhere without result ....

SER = Samsung Electronics Russian.

SEK = Samsung Electronics UKraine

SEUK = Samsung Electronics United Kingdom

Whatever begin with SE is Samsung Electronics, and follow letter is country.

Some named by Operator/distributor

SUN = Sunrise

WIN = Wind

Some named by Country code

TH = Thai

SO = Sing

Some named by market

JP = Arabic

JV/JT = Turkey

it's complicated.

Best way is use generic one, it would detect your operator correctly.

This is the info from mine:

EUR GREECE "VODAFONE GR" "COSMOTE" "WIND GR"

Thank's a lot. I update right now!

Double thanks because with this "EUR" I thought I was wrong, when I found from GREECE !

And everybody says here: "EUR" is for europe ... They're wrong !

"This is not because majority is wrong that they are necessarily in right!"

@secany

Thanks for your support.

(But my contribution is very small compare of yours!)

I don't know if there are different providers if somebody selects other language with the same csc!!!

Common guys take a look on yours!!! :)

I do not subscribe, because the language are in the MST and not in CSC. (Now I'm sure, I've tried to flash European CSC with CHinese MST :( ... no chance, not work !)

And you can change language when you want !

When I go to System/Version/Device i sow 3 codes: PDA, CSC and PHONE. Whitch is the code to see? I think is the CSC but i'm no sure!

My CSC is I8000FAMIG6 and then i concluse:

I8000 -> model

F -> ???? (N is Windows Mobile 6.1, and F???)

AM -> Vedafone (but mine is working fine here in Brazil)

I -> 2009 (release year)

G -> July (release Month)

6 -> version number.

Am i correct?

COA is Romania, operator COSMOTE

I am in Romania. Installed IJ6 with EUR and the system correctly identified my carrier - ORANGE - and modified the settings accordingly.

Installed IJD-IJE with COA and found all settings on COSMOTE.

Hi,

@Chepapoa: sorry about disapointing you.

But I just bought one in Germany, no branding, WM 6.1 and it has the same CSC code as yours; including "FAM".

So, may be, we need Robert Langdon for deciphering this code; but I've lost his number :D

You are not desapointing me. You are just helping me. I'll search on web about our mysterious omniaII code and any info i'll post here.

I have a Omnia Pro B7610 and my CSC is B7610VDFIH5

So I guess VDF means Vodafone (the Netherlands)

My PDA version is IJ3. Does it matter that the CSC and PDA are not the same?

  • 2 weeks later...

What the best to use when picking a CSC for Australia.... ?

I've picked XEU (UK) so I'll see how that goes, I know with my old i900 i used to flash it to 'Singapore' but that doesn't seem to be an option in the CSC I'm using (i8000NXXIJ9)
