I did a quick search of "spica root" on twitter, and found this: http://forum.leshak.com/samsung-i5700-spic...y-lite-t13.html

No idea if it'll work, looks kind of hopeful, but you need to trust the site. http://forum.leshak.com/samsung-i5700-spic...y-lite-t13.html

If you do, could you find a way of getting the xvid/divx support onto other android phones? :)

I have rooted my spica using the instructions on this forum and updated the firmware to the latest from Samsung. I have been trying to find an EN custom ROM but have not found any yet. But even the rooting is a good start as I am now able to use SetCpu and MarketEnabler.

One thing though, nstall the latest New PC Suite from Samsung as the drivers provided on the forum do not work with all spica firmwares.

Cheers

Hi finalmoksha !

If you mean updating your i5700 to Android 2.1 I can help you. Mine is already in 2.1 for 2 weeks now.

I can create a post about it if you want.

Hi,

I'm unable to connect my spica to my pc. If you can please tell me how to update my phone 2.1

It'll be great.

Do you have or had similar problems of syncing your spica to the pc?

Regards

Murugesh

Modaco has very little support for the Spica I think, Google SamDroid.

It has 2.1 ROMS, and I think Cyanogen 6...

Unlike us.
