This topic provides downloads of the stock ROM for the Nexus One.

I would advise reading through all of the options available before downloading to ensure you get what you are looking for! Enjoy - i'll update this topic as and when new ROM releases become available. :)

Image Format

This is the original secure signed zip from HTC. It contains all of the images for the various partitions on the device, which can be flashed via fastboot. To flash, extract and use the command 'fastboot flash partition imagename'. For example, to flash the boot image, use 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' and to flash the system partition use 'fastboot flash system system.img'. If you do not have a copy of fastboot, you can grab it here.

Use this download if you want to return your phone to completely, original, stock state.

Superboot images

If you would like to use the stock ROM but would like either root access or an insecure boot image (for adb remount permissions), then visit the superboot topic.

Official update patch zip

If you are on a completely stock ERD79 device (including stock recovery image), you can use the official ERE27 update (this is the same as the OTA update). Just download it, put it on the SD card named update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Sorted.

Online Kitchen

The online kitchen below allows you to create a custom update ZIP with the components you require. The image is still stock, you just have the option of leaving out the bits you don't want. For expert users, the option to include either an insecure boot image or the superboot root boot image (with or without himem) is included. The radio image can also be included.

Enjoy! :)

This is the stock thread, so i'm only having this kitchen make stock removals really - use the MCR threads for other customisations!

Hey Paul, nice work as usual! Is A2SD added to this stock ROM or only the Custom ROM?

You're phone is /always/ unlocked. You're bootloader is separate, and it will remain unlocked (since you flashed recovery, its has been unlocked by you) until that problem is solved.

And whether its rooted or not, is dependent on what option you ticked about. If you picked superboot, then yes, its rooted. If not, then it snot rooted

Any requests on other bits to make optional in the kitchen?

P

How about adding multitouch to the native apps (e.g. browser, maps, etc...) if possible?

That would be great!

Getting mine replaced because Haptic/Vibrate has failed. The guy I just spoke to says I'll get a like for like replacement. He never mentioned anything about warranty or bootloader unlock so right at the end of the call I asked if it would make a difference if the device was bootloader unlocked - he said he didn't understand. I explained I had unlocked the bootloader, he said - I don't think that will make a difference as long as you don't have third party software on it.

So, I know I can flash this stock before they collect, but I'm not sure if that will also swap the recovery (Currently have AmonRA recovery on)

If not I'll go check how to flash the stock recovery back and just hope for the best...

If you flash using the images download you can also flash the recovery.

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot erase cache

fastboot erase userdata

Job done! :)

Kitchen moved to new dedicated server. MoDaCo Plus / Ad Free members, you make this possible. Thank you! :)

Hi Paul, can you include the APN List from the 1.4 Beta 2 ROM to the Stock Online Kitchen. It's very very handy.

This is a blazing fast ROM - seems to have allot of improvements and stability compared to the ROM I got on my N1. Must recommended ROM to everyone.

P.S. Hacked Google Maps works beautiful on this.

Hi Paul,

I'd like to replace some font files on my Nexus1 with minimal changes to the system. I don't want root access or custom recovery images...Just to replace some fonts on the file system. What I'm planning to do is:

1. Unlock bootloader (unfortunately cannot be skipped, correct me if I'm wrong...)

2. Flash superboot / insecure boot

3. Replace font files in /system/fonts/ with ADB remount and ADB push

4. Restore original boot image by using the secure signed zip you included in this post and running "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

Will this work? Is flashing the boot partition twice (first with superboot and then with original image) safe?

Thanks in advance!!
